Who would imagine that in a medical conference we would hear about astral projection! To my surprise, this is what happened in the Virtual Medicine Conference at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

This was among the most interesting conferences I ever attended. I enjoyed listening to the engineering aspects of the various new technologies for virtual reality (VR), but I especially fascinated by the applications of virtual reality for personal development and therapy presented.

The opening lecture mentioned the effects experienced by Dr Brennan Spiegel when he saw himself out of the body via a VR program. Sitting in the audience, my wondering of whether he really had an out-of-body experience or it was just the feeling of it remained.

Even if it was just the feeling of being outside the body, it is an even stronger argument about the value of the out-of-body experience, because if only a virtual experience can bring incredible benefits as he cited, the real experience can take a person much further.

The best part of the congress was when patients healed by “virtual therapy” made touching personal statements about their case and recovery. Among the experiences mentioned, one of the patients clearly said that the out-of-body experiences (real, not just a feeling of according to his statement) were what kept him alive and made him endure the process.

Wagner Alegretti and I have been interested in the use of VR for the production of conscious astral projection and overcoming fears and trauma for years. Since January 2019, Wagner has been dedicated to creating a system for this purpose. Hence our interest in participating in this congress.

Just two months after this congress, the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) inaugurated on its Campus in Portugal the “Virtual Reality Laboratory” (VR consciousness lab) with an exclusive system to stimulate conscious projections.
